Step 1: How to Order
Use our simple range list (on the left of the page) or the search facility to find the item you are looking for. When you have located the item click the 'Add to Basket' button at the bottom of the screen. If you wish to look at more items click 'Continue Shopping' and you will return to the product range. When you have finished shopping click 'View Basket' . This shows you the items which you have chosen, the quantity and the cost of each. The total cost with delivery charges are also shown.
Step 2: Proceed to Payment/Your Details
After clicking the 'proceed to payment' icon you will be asked to register or log-in if you havent already. Please complete the form and click the 'register' icon. You will then be asked to fill in delivery and payment details and prompted to click on the 'proceed' icon. Payment is by our secure server using SSL technology to ensure safe information transfer. This encrypts your details to prevent anyone from reading them over the internet.
Security
This website takes precautions to protect users' information. When sensitive information is submitted via the Website, that information is encrypted and is protected with an SSL encryption system. Once an order is received, the payment details are erased. The servers on which we collect and store personal information are kept in a secure environment.
SSL encryption relates to all pages where sensitive information is to be placed e.g. your address or credit card details. In such places a small yellow padlock icon will appear in the bottom right hand area or your browser window to indicate that you are on a secure page.
However, there are occasions where a Microsoft prompt box will appear on your screen telling you that the page contains 'Secure & Non-secure items': that is you have a mix. This relates to (insecure) images/pictures on that page and not the (secure) data on that page. This is a feature of the Microsoft Internet Explorer software and in no way relates to the security of our website.
How to Use the Site
Navigating the Outdoor World website is easy. On the welcome page you will see a selection of Special Offers available to purchase. The product range list on the left hand side of the page is divided into product categories, as you roll over these categories further subcategories appear and clicking here will present a list of the available items. You can also use our search facility which will locate any keywords within the product name or description and display the products accordingly. The manufacturers search allows a selection from a drop down menu of all the featured manufacturers on the site. By highlighting a manufacturer and clicking 'Search' you will be presented with all the items from that manufacturer.
Your Account
Once you have logged-in, you will have quick and easy access to your Account Details and Basket. You can keep track on what you have bought and build your shopping basket over a period of time before your purchase. Any purchases you make are kept under your account details making it quick and easy to refer back to see when you made your purchases, what size was bought and how much you have spent. You will also be able to trace the status of your delivery.

Footwear Guide
Buying boots by mail order:
Purchasers should be as sure as they can of the make and model of boot they require due to the fact that manufacturers use different shaped lasts to allow for the many varied shapes of feet.
Size should allow for a thicker cushioned type of sock being used and also expansion of the foot during use, this usually means ordering at least a half size above your normal shoe size.
Please note:
Customer will be responsible for any costs incurred in returning boots that are not suitable.
Carriage will be charged at our normal rates for any replacements required.
